What Is Powder Coating?
Alloy wheel powder coating is a process that involves refurbishing the wheel before changing the colour/finish of it.
The wheels are first blasted to obtain a smooth metal surface in preparation for coating. They are then prepped and dressed to remove any damage before being heat treated and coated.
We have many different colours and finishes that are available upon request.
Paint vs Powder Coat
-
Durability – powder coating withstands high impact damage without chipping or cracking.
-
Eco-Friendliness – unlike some paints used for alloy wheel coating, the powder method doesn’t employ solvents or release VOCs
-
Full Coverage – Powder coating ensures full coverage of the wheel surface regardless of design complexity.
-
Cost- Effective – even though the initial cost of powder coating may be higher than painting, its impressive longevity and durability turn into a high ROI.
